Space Research, Rocket science, invasion, life beyond earth, you may have heard these terms quite often in your life and thinking of space you’ll get to remember ISRO , NASA or ESA may be ROSCOSMOS (Of Course Aliens but not now let’s leave that topic for now ) and the different activities and missions they do in space research or communication technology launching satellites and other space vehicles but very few knows about a private company which is working hard to place its ideology in the line up. That’s Spacex(Space Exploration Technologies Corporation) which was founded by Elon Musk yes the same guy who was the founder of the world’s largest third party money transferring application and the founder and co of one of the largest producers of luxurious and stunning Tesla Cars in the year 2002.

The Spacex rose from a basic motive from Mr Musk that is to set up a greenhouse on Mars saying that he meant that he is searching for an alternative human living environment. His philosophy or terms of initializing it is that space travel should be cheap, the cheapest possible say 500 USD per pound(Very imaginative). And there begun the journey of spacex with failure failure and a failure 3 time on launching its own orbital satellite for the first time but they haven’t stopped and tried the falcon 1 flight 4 in 2008 and it was a moment to them if they lose it they only be left bankrupt and should shut their company totally. But east winds flew well and the mission was successful which led to the NASA collab the greatest achievement of spacex back then. They work like you give me your stuff(payload) and money that would be in orbit at pretty cheap cost.

They did many achievements in the category of being a private space company to do those which include

  • They got their first successful flight the falcon 1 flight 4 in 2008
  • They made their first Dragon spacecraft which flew orbited and came back in 2010
  • In the successive years 2015 and 2016 they made their falcon 9 20 and 23 to release a satellite and land back on land and water(respective years) to reuse. It was first of its kind a reusable rocket
  • The most interesting one was they sent Elon Musk’s own Tesla roadster(around a 200,000 USD priced) car into the space with their Falcon heavy which is made of three falcon 9s engines

Their journey now started to create human able crafts so they started their testings before clearly working on humans with their space shuttle Dragon.

They made a couple of free tests launching with the Falcon 9 and they made it to dock autonomously to ISS(International Space Station) and finally now in 2020 under all the able Dragon 2 was launched successfully to send two of NASA's astronauts into orbit and into the ISS. This is the first time a private space company has done this. Such a privileged space company timing up with NASA the one of the greatest space research organization turns up to be the more sophisticated platform for better tomorrow in the space technology and research

Spacex originals

“You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great — and that’s what being a space faring civilization is all about. It’s about believing in the future and thinking that the future will be better than the past. And I can’t think of anything more exciting than going out there and being among the stars.” -Elon Musk.

Stated his missions for SpaceX as

  • MAKING HUMANITY MULTI-PLANETARY
  • RE-USABILITY
  • MAKING HISTORY

It made a total of 86 space launches,51 landings and 32 re-flown rockets.

With that said Spacex, the world’s leading private space technologies organization from bankruptcy to a team work with NASA will one day send a payload @ $500/pound :-)
